BT-OpenReach still have not commissioned nor opened cabinet 5 at Burton End for Superfast broadband orders and have been unresponsive to repeated requests for updated information by both Connecting Cambridgeshire and our MP’s office. After repeated delays, it was due to be opened “early March” for Superfast orders and is still due to be open imminently.
FTTP / Cabinet 1
Issues still abound with residents who have ordered an FTTP service where “available”. These are a result of continually appearing incomplete engineering works at the fibre junction boxes mounted on the telephone poles, and missing fibre segments. Contractors have been on site for the last couple of weeks addressing these issues and new installation and activation dates are now being scheduled for the end of March and beginning of April.
If your ISP has not provided you with a new installation or activation date since their last cancellation, please check back with them regularly as engineering work is being completed on a weekly basis allowing the progression of your connection.
