The A1307 will be closed from 6am on Saturday 15th July through to 6am Mon 17th July 2023 from Haverhill to Fourwentways. Access only will be permitted for residential traffic with no access between Hildersham to Dale Head Foods.
While the Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) hope that all work will be completed that weekend, a closure for the following weekend (22-24 July) has been booked for contingency work.
All efforts will be made to keep disruption to a minimum. The GCP would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience these works may cause. Warning boards and digital signage will be installed on site from Tuesday 20 June to inform road users of the upcoming closures.
To avoid diverting large vehicles such as HGVs through small village roads, the diversion uses other available A roads, including the A143 and A11. The closure and routes are illustrated below (select for larger image):
